Peptide therapy in Fort Lauderdale, Delray Beach and West Palm Beach

Amaira Med Spa & Surgical offers peptide therapy at our three South Florida offices in Fort Lauderdale, Delray Beach and West Palm Beach. Every plan starts with a conversation with our licensed medical team. We meet you, go through your health history and decide with you whether peptide therapy is appropriate. If it isn't the right fit, we say so and talk through other options.

Amaira is a local med spa and surgical practice with 300+ 5-star reviews, not an online-only app. You can always see our team in person.

What peptide therapy is

Peptides are short chains of amino acids, the same building blocks that make up proteins in the body. In a medical setting, peptide therapy means using a peptide that a licensed provider has prescribed for you after an evaluation. There are many different peptides, and they are not interchangeable. Which one, if any, makes sense depends on your health, your history and the goals you want to talk about.

Peptide therapy is a medical treatment. It isn't a supplement you pick off a shelf, and we don't decide it from a form alone. That's why every plan at Amaira goes through a licensed provider and starts with a consultation.

Who it may be a fit for

People come to us with many different wellness goals. Peptide therapy may be worth discussing if you are an adult who wants a medically supervised approach, is comfortable sharing a full health history, and prefers a local team you can see face to face.

It isn't appropriate for everyone. Our team takes extra care, and may recommend another path, if you:

  • are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding
  • are under 18
  • have a heart, kidney, liver or hormone-related condition
  • have a history of cancer
  • take medications that could interact, including blood thinners or immune-suppressing medications

Your provider makes the final decision, and "not right now" is always an acceptable answer.

What happens at your in-person consultation

Consultations take place in person at the Amaira office that suits you best. In-person is our default. Virtual consultations are also available if that is easier, and virtual is for the consultation only.

At your consultation, our team will:

  • talk through your goals and what you'd like to discuss
  • review your health history, current medications and any supplements you take
  • explain whether lab work is needed before any decision is made
  • walk you through how a plan would work and how it's followed up
  • answer your questions in plain language

You leave knowing the next step, whether that's lab work, a plan or a different option. There's no pressure to decide on the spot.

What to bring to your consultation

A little preparation makes the conversation more useful. If you can, bring:

  • a list of every medication, vitamin and supplement you take, with the amounts
  • any recent lab work or medical records you already have
  • notes on your health history, including past surgeries and ongoing conditions
  • the questions you want answered, written down so nothing gets missed

If you don't have records with you, that's fine. Our team will tell you what's needed and help you plan the next step.

Screening and safety come first

Before any plan is approved, our licensed medical team reviews your health history and medications and may ask for recent lab work or order new labs. Some conditions need a closer look, and some mean peptide therapy isn't a fit.

Like any medical treatment, peptide therapy can have side effects, and it can interact with other medications. Your provider will explain what to watch for, which side effects to report and how to reach our team with questions.

We don't make promises about outcomes. Everyone is different, and your provider will be honest with you about what peptide therapy can and can't do in your situation.

How your plan is followed

If your provider approves a plan, our team stays involved. Your provider decides how often you check in, adjusts or stops the plan when needed, and is the person to ask before you change anything, including other medications. You can always come in and talk to our team in person at any of our offices.

Plain answers

Peptide therapy: plain answers

Short, plain answers to the questions people ask most. Still unsure? Call us at (954) 982-2841, Mon–Sat 10 AM–6 PM.

What is peptide therapy?

Peptide therapy uses peptides, which are short chains of amino acids, prescribed by a licensed provider after an evaluation. At Amaira, our licensed medical team decides with you whether it's appropriate.

Is peptide therapy the same as a supplement?

No. Peptide therapy is a medical treatment that a licensed provider prescribes and follows. It starts with a consultation and a review of your health history.

Do I need to come in person?

In-person consultations are our default, at our Fort Lauderdale, Delray Beach or West Palm Beach office. Virtual consultations are also available, and virtual is for the consultation only.

Who decides if peptide therapy is right for me?

Your provider on our licensed medical team, after reviewing your health history, medications and, when needed, lab work. If it isn't a fit, we'll talk through other options.

Will I need lab work?

Sometimes. Your provider may ask for recent lab work or order new labs before making a decision.

Who should not start peptide therapy?

It isn't appropriate for everyone. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, being under 18, a history of cancer, some heart, kidney, liver or hormone-related conditions, and some medications need extra care or mean another path is better. Your provider will go over this with you.

Is peptide therapy safe?

Like any medical treatment, it can have side effects and can interact with other medications. That's why our licensed medical team screens you first and explains what to watch for.

Where are your offices and when are you open?
