  • Bags under the eyes: Caused by excess fat and loose skin.
  • Wrinkles around the eyes: Blepharoplasty can improve the appearance of fine lines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most patients experience swelling and bruising during the first 1–2 weeks, with continued improvement as the eyes heal. Final results become more noticeable after the tissues fully settle.
Incisions are typically placed in natural creases of the eyelids to help make scars less noticeable. Over time, scars usually fade with proper care and healing.

Many patients return to work within 7–10 days, depending on their comfort level and the type of activities they do. Strenuous exercise may require more time before resuming.

Most patients experience mild discomfort, tightness, or sensitivity after the procedure. Pain is usually manageable with prescribed medications and proper aftercare.
If excess skin is affecting the upper field of vision, removing it may help improve visibility. Your surgeon can assess whether this applies to you.

Results can be long-lasting, and many patients enjoy a refreshed appearance for years. Natural aging continues over time, so changes may gradually occur.
