What to Expect – The Process

We will begin with a patient intake questionnaire that includes your medical history. We’ll then want to learn about your desired physical results and your cosmetic concerns. Our Patient Coordinator will assess your skin’s elasticity and your journey. After determining what will be included in your procedure, we’ll construct a personalized treatment plan for you, including patient-specific preparatory guidelines and unique recovery care steps on the date of your procedure. Preparation

Patients will be briefed on the preparatory steps they need to complete before surgery. Each patient will have their own unique set of instructions but following a few general guidelines will ensure a smooth procedure with excellent results.

1.

Adjust medications as instructed, including NSAIDs and other blood-thinning prescriptions and supplements.

2.

Designate a responsible adult to drive you home once the surgery is complete.

3.

Fill the prescriptions that the Doctor has ordered in advance of your procedure.

4.

Arrange to take 1-2 weeks off from work.

Patients can expect to have a pre-operative appointment with our surgeon 2 weeks or less prior to your surgery date. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any last-minute questions and review the details of your procedure. Patients will have their mommy makeover treatment done at our state-of-the-art surgical facilities.

Recovery

As the effects of the anesthesia wear off over the next few days, you’ll experience moderate discomfort, swelling, and bruising around the treated areas. Taking the prescribed medication and following your post-op instructions will ensure that your recovery goes smoothly and that you heal according to schedule. In general, the recovery period for a mommy makeover ranges from 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the procedures completed.
