How does Sculptra work?

Sculptra is made with a biocompatible and biodegradable synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body and helps rebuild collagen lost over the years.

The specialist injects the treatment in the appropriate dermal plane where the collagen strands support the structure of the skin. Over time, Sculptra helps the body to reactivate lost collagen. The number of appointments for injections and the number of injections per appointment vary by person, depending on how much collagen has been lost. On average, three injection appointments are needed in a period of a few months.

Why Sculptra?

SCULPTRA ADDRESSES AN UNDERLYING CAUSE OF FACIAL AGING, NOT JUST THE SYMPTOMS.

Not All Anti-Aging Treatments Are the Same:

  • Collagen creams: Collagen creams do not fully penetrate to the dermis, so most topical treatments are effective as moisturizers that briefly improve the skin’s appearance.
  • Collagen Supplements: When ingested, the digestive system breaks down collagen proteins and their effectiveness remains inconclusive.
  • Toxins: Toxins temporarily weaken muscles to minimize frown lines on the forehead. Results typically last a couple of months.
  • Fillers: Works immediately upon injection to fill in lines, wrinkles and folds.
